Jeff THE HORSE Horsey

BLUES AND ROOTS MUSIC. FROM A SHACK ON THE EDGE OF BODMIN MOOR IN CORNWALL UK .............................................

AFTER YEARS OF PLAYING IN ELECTRIC BANDS AS LEAD SINGER AND HARMONICA PLAYER, GIGGING UP AND DOWN THE COUNTRY AND BEYOND, I DECIDED TO GET BACK TO MY ROOTS AS A SOLO PERFORMER LATE IN 2009.

I WANTED TO PLAY THE MUSIC I LOVED, BUT WITH MY OWN SLANT ON IT. OVER THE YEARS I HAD WRITTEN A BUNCH OF SONGS, FEATURED ON MY CDS "HORSE IS BACK" 2009 AND "SKELETONS" 2012 AND THESE FORM THE BACKBONE OF MY SET.  IN LIVE SHOWS, WHEN I FEEL LIKE IT THOUGH, YOU'RE GOING TO HEAR A FEW GREAT OLD TIMERS.  I CAN NEVER RESIST A FEW BLUES CLASSICS OR SOME EARLY ROCK N’ ROLL .  I WANT TO SHOW PEOPLE HOW GREAT THAT STUFF IS!  IT'S NEVER GONNA DIE.

I ALWAYS LOVED BLOWING MY BRAINS OUT ON THE BLUES HARP AND PLAYING MY AMPLIFIED SLIDE GUITARS, SO I WRAP THAT UP WITH FOOT STOMPING, PLUG IN, FLOOR PERCUSSION, LIKE AN OLD TIME ONE MAN BAND.

I DO “DOWNBEAT BLUES AND DESPERADO BALLADS“, TOUGH BLUES WITH A DASH OF COUNTRY MELODY, KEEPING THE GOOD STUFF LIVE AND KICKIN’.

"I just wanted to thank you for performing at the Tamar for the Festival, not
to mention your cameos with Gareth & Julian which were very well received.
You don't need me to tell you that the Tamar was rammed. I really enjoyed it
& the feedback was very good.   Thanks very much for doing it."
